Windows 7 update

As we get closer to release I have been getting an increased volume of "should I upgrade" questions. Here's the simplest answer: If your still on XP, yes. If your on Vista, someday but no need to hurry.

Mainly this release is to cover the poor press Vista was never able to shake. Its targeted at people that didn't update from XP. If you watch the tour videos, I have linked to the title of this post, you will notice its almost identical to Vista. And the few changes you notice, aren't exactly going to "wow" you.

There are some refinements under the hood and if DX11 is ever able gain real ground (unlike 10), it will be worthwhile (if your also willing to buy a new DX11 video card). Of course we're less far with DX11, at this stage of the release, then we were with DX10 back when Vista was a couple weeks away from retail.
