Steam: Deals and Issues

Originally my intent was to post this great deal out of Steam for 4 copies for Boarderlands for $135 ($34/copy). Thats a neat offer and a strong statement for how much this game is all about the co-op.

Then I remembered: I'm pissed at Steam. Why? Load up, Defcon and try to play a game. You can't play the Steam copy, it fails to authticate and has been doing so for the last 7 months!!!! If you buy it RIGHT NOW off of STEAM YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME. How screwed up is that?

It's also a warning sign of how Steam can put the screws to you. As I wanted to play a quick game of one of my all time favorites. No, I was denied because I chose to shop with Steam. This could easily occur with any title on Steam.

...and to add injury to insult, when I attempt to log in to Steam Support (to helpfully report this issue) on either of my accounts...it not only fails, so then I request my login info to be sent to me; well that tells me that its never heard of my email addresses or my user names (that both login to the client fine).
