Christ All Mighty, here I am with another book recommendation. Its only been nine months sense my last one (which was also my first/only recommendation on this blog), it's starting to feel like I'd recommend any old flap around here. I'm as shocked as you are.So here we are with a book that I read in four days. Given my incredibly slow reading, where I practically fondle every word as I read it, four days is a feat. I couldn't put this book down, from page one I was entranced.
You have to understand how rare a book like this is for me. Like some kind of junkey I devour entertainment (books, games, movies, etc) looking for something with that little special touch that will leave me feeling something like high when its over. Like any drug, it takes more every time to get to that happy place. Now a days I have to devour what seems like hundreds of Things just to find anything that I feel is better then marginal.
This book was selected as part of my random close-my-eyes-and-grab-a-book selection process. No one recommended and I barely stopped to read the cover. Generally this selection process nets me with 50% of the books being "readable" aka "consumable content". So not really recommended way to go about this however it did net me this and my last recommendation... so its not all bad.
I almost didn't post this recommendation - I actually debated it with myself. Just posting this will cause people to read reviews about the book. That is a mistake. Had I read a single review about this book I never would have picked it up, many of you are likely to feel the same way. Also every review innocently gives away spoilers I didn't know about going in and the experience was magnified by my surprise. Don't rob yourself the full experience.
I wonder how long it will be before I encounter The Next Exceptional Thing? A drug habit would be cheaper....

Oddly enough I just had another person recommend this to me. He said he could not put it down.
