Battlefield 1943 explodes the server

Well, not really. Though it doing well beyond expectations as server capacity had to be boosted significantly. It was a painful experience just to get logged in.

Pretty neat though... running around those old BF42 maps yet with fully destructible environments. Which I think fully destructible is a key ingredient to all future FPS's success.

I also believe this games success will do a great deal for the future of Live Arcade.

Uhg, they put in a regenerating health system. Why do game companies think that everyone wants to play halo?

Pretty long list of games that use that system.

Its the best really. Which I hadn't really considered till just now. If I made a game, that's the way it would be. Focuses you on killing (most fun), in place of hunting for health (less fun)...it also never lets a person you just owned tell you that you wouldn't have if they had been at full health...thus always ensuring that every encounter is fair.

The regenerating ammo (featured in BF43) is also a good idea...though I wasn't expecting it to be. It's not quick enough to be an endless supply of ammo but its quick enough that by the time you reach the next objective your ready to rock.

Its fairly entertaining though it took me a bit to get used to aiming with a controller again.
